President Ersin Tatar on Tuesday received Lefke European University Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güven Arıklı and students from the Radio and Television Department of the University.

Speaking during the visit the President noted that foreign students studying at universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are honorary ambassadors and that he attaches great importance to students who come from Turkiye and abroad and chose to study in the TRNC.

Referring to the history of the Turkish Cypriot people, President Tatar informed the students about the struggle waged by the Turkish Cypriot people in the historical process and emphasized the importance of politics based on the fact that there are two separate peoples and two separate states in Cyprus.
