President Ersin Tatar stated that the harmony between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will continue forever.

Making the statement while receiving the President of the Turkey-TRNC Cooperation Association Rüşat Aydoğan and his accompanying delegation President Tatar stated that he truly believes that the TRNC, a tourism island, will develop further with the opening of Maraş and called on people from all over Turkey to come to Cyprus, to learn about the Turkish Cypriot peoples’ history.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining military, economic, social and cultural activities in order to protect the rights of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Motherland Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean and to carry the national interest to the next generation, Tatar reiterated that the unity and harmony between Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot people will last forever.

“We are an inseparable part of Turkey. As a guarantor country Turkey is always by our side” said Tatar and reminded that they take steps together with Turkey in every field.

Explaining that the Greek Cypriot side has still not given up on their dreams of uniting the island with Greece, Tatar said “We are defending an agreement based on two separate equal sovereign states.”

Explaining that over time the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has developed further with its institutions and organizations, Tatar stated that currently the country is going through a pandemic and that they are handling the situation in the best possible way.

He reiterated his belief that the country a tourism island will further develop with the opening of the Maraş area.
