President Ersin Tatar has announced that he has tested positive for Covid 19.

Via his social media account, the President said that his general state of health is well and he has isolated himself.

“I’ve learned that the PCR test results that I carried out due to flu like symptoms I have been experiencing, came back positive. My general state of health is well and I want to share with everyone that I’ve isolated myself” Tatar wrote.

He also called on the people to comply with the measures announced by the Health Ministry and experts and to get vaccinated.

“I am fully confident that we will get over this pandemic with unity and solidarity. I thank my people for their get well soon wishes” the President added.
