The Turkish Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar announced that since the beginning of the Operation Claw-Sword 184 terrorists have been neutralized.

“We will not cease our efforts until all terrorists have been neutralized” said Akar.

At least three people were killed in multiple rocket attacks by the terror group YPG/PKK in Türkiye’s southeastern Gaziantep province, the Turkish Interior Minister said on Monday.

The mortar shells hit a residential area and injured six people in the Karkamış district, Süleyman Soylu told reporters in the capital Ankara. The injured were transferred to hospital, he said.

“Unfortunately, according to initial information, three of our citizens, including a child and a teacher, lost their lives,” he added.

Türkiye, he said, will respond to these terror acts in “the strongest way,” adding all necessary steps will be taken in this regard.

Meanwhile Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke on the phone with the Turkish Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar and received information about the targets hit both from the ground and air and the activities taking place to neutralize terrorists.

Akar said that 89 targets, including shelters, bunkers, caves, tunnels, and warehouses belonging to terrorists, were destroyed in the first phase of the operation.

“The terrorists have once again shown their infamy to the whole world by targeting civilians and children. The Turkish Armed Forces is showing a level of sensitivity that no army has shown in order not to harm civilians, the environment, historical, cultural and religious structures, both in the planning and execution of activities. The Turkish army will do whatever needs to be done in line with all these sensitivities until all terrorists have been neutralized” said Akar.
