The Girne Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneur Women’s Association organised the “Women Entrepreneurs Who Create Value” summit on Thursday within the framework of the “My Sister” project.
Speaking at the event, President Ersin Tatar said that he supported and will continue to support women so that they may continue their successes on every platform.
Speeches were delivered and plagues were handed out at the opening of the event held at the Girne Bandabuliya or the old bazaar.
The event was attended by President Ersin Tatar, the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy, other state and government officials, bureaucrats and representatives of civil society organisations.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy said that it was the state’s duty to carry out projects that will elevate women’s position in society.
He said that his ministry will do its part in supporting development projects for women.
Also addressing the event, President Ersin Tatar congratulated the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneur Women’s Association for their projects and the events they have been organising.
Underlining the importance of the struggle waged by women throughout history, Tatar said that he will continue to support women on every platform to ensure the continuation of their successes.
