The acting president and Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre has also issued a message marking the November 24th Teachers’ Day.
In his message issued on Wednesday, the acting President and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and acting president Zorlu Töre said that the profession of teaching was one of the most sacred and respected.
He said that great duties fell upon teachers who educate future generations and served as role models so that each can become valuable members of society.
“They are the architects of society, unsacrificingly moulding the minds of the young generations, teaching the means of acquiring, understanding and using knowledge as well as technology,” Töre said.
He concluded his message by wishing all teachers a happy November 24, Teachers’ Day.
