The Speaker of Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre said that motherland Türkiye is the biggest security of the Turkish Cypriots after the pain and tears they have experienced.

Töre also stressed that the TRNC will continue to exist as a national state forever.

The Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre held a series of contacts in Rize Province in the Eastern part of the Black Sea region of Türkiye.

As part of his contacts, Töre attended and addressed an event organized by the Külünkoğlu Education and Culture Association.

Expressing that they were honoured to be a member of the Turkish Nation, he said that the Turkish Cypriot people had experienced many pains and migrations in the past, gave martyrs and resisted adding that they waited for the motherland to come during those times.

Noting that the greatest security of the Turkish Cypriots was their motherland, Töre stressed that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will continue to exist as a national state forever.

Criticizing the stance of the United Nations and the European Union on the Cyprus issue, the Parliamentary Speaker referred to the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, “the world is bigger than five” and noted that the accuracy of this statement was being understood better day by day.

“Our star and crescent flag will continue to fly in the skies of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus forever” Töre said.

Within the scope of his contacts, the Parliamentary Speaker Töre visited Rize Governor Kemal Ceber and Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin.

He also visited the Muradiye Municipality of Rize Province and came together with Mayor Musa Süreyya Balcı.

During his contacts in Rize, Töre made statements to many press organs, especially the National News Agencies, about the Cyprus problem and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
