The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre stated that the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) should always be very powerful in its region and emphasized the importance of the Turkish Armed Forces in its defence of the homeland.

The parliamentary speaker issued the remarks while receiving the head of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’s (TRNC) Promotion Board of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Talip Sancar and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit Sancar noted that after establishing the promotional board they were paying their first visit to the parliamentary speaker and informed Töre about the developments in Turkiye’s defence industry.

“The stronger Motherland Turkiye’s defence equipment is, the TRNC will also become stronger at the same level,” said Sancar

Töre for his part noted that the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation is fulfilling a great task.

Noting that the independence of the Turkish Cypriot people is being defended today and in the future, Töre stated that these are very important values and added that Turkiye has always been a deterrent force in the region, thanks to its powerful army.

Emphasizing that they want disarmament to take place all over the world and want war to end, Töre stated that unfortunately wars are continuing around the world and that some powerful countries are trying to rule other countries with both military power and economic sanctions.

Parliamentary Speaker Töre, also received a delegation from North Cyprus TURKCELL and the Cyprus Turkish Blue Homeland Association.
