The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre came together with the Germany Islamic Community Milli Görüş (IGMG) delegation on Wednesday.

Speaking during the visit, Töre expressed the need for the Turkish Cypriots to protect their national values, their Turkish identity and Islamic values.

The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre received a delegation of the Germany Islamic Community Milli Görüş who is holding a series of contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Speaking during the visit, Töre reminded of the Greek Cypriot side’s attitude towards the Turkish Cypriots and said that both the European Union and the United Nations was a mere spectator to this.

Pointing out that the resolutions requested to be taken against the Turkish Cypriots at the EU and UN platforms were vetoed, he also accused the Security Council of exhibiting a biased attitude.

Stating that these organizations were seriously discriminating against Turkish and Muslim countries, Töre said that Turkish Cypriots had to protect their national values, Turkish identity and the Islamic values ​​to which they belong to.

Stressing that Milli Görüş carried out important work in this sense and that he followed these studies closely, Parliamentary Speaker Töre wished the members of the delegation success in their work.
