The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Zorlu Töre on Sunday attended the traditional Republic’s Assembly Office Cup race organised by the Equestrian Federation.

According to the information released by the Republic’s Assembly’s press bureau, Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre in his speech at the event held at the Aner Horse Riding Sports Club, praised the organisers for holding this competition annually.

Reminding that the event was held on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on November 15, Töre said that Atatürk’s word’s “the Republic is our greatest accomplishment” had gained more meaning these days.

Stressing that the Turkish Cypriot people have always followed in the footsteps of Atatürk, the Parliamentary Speaker expressed his wish to see equestrianism become more popular in the country.
