The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre on Tuesday received representatives from some Combatant Associations.

Speaking during the visit, Töre expressed his desire to raise the Turkish Cypriot youngsters fully aware of the national consciousness and the TMT spirit.

“Those who forget their past could fall into error in the future” he noted.

Stating that this error would lead to fatal mistakes in the future, Töre said therefore it was important to know how these days had been reached.

“We need to claim our state and independence” the Parliamentary Speaker said adding that the existence of the state and independence was essential.

Expressing the need for working towards increasing the prosperity and happiness of the Turkish Cypriot people and their satisfaction from the state, Töre expressed his belief that the current government will show a maximum effort towards achieving these goals.
