The Health Ministry on Monday reported 104 new positive cases of coronavirus following 17,163 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, one person arrived from abroad, 23 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 80 positive cases were locally transmitted.

30 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 21 from the Girne District, 20 from the Gazimağusa District, five from the İskele District, three from the Güzelyurt District and one from the Lefke District.

100 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus on the other hand reported 280 new positive cases on Monday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
