The Health Ministry on Monday reported 115 new positive cases of coronavirus and one death following 24,498 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry two people came from abroad, 24 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 89 positive cases were locally transmitted.

36 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 24 from the Girne District, 22 from the Gazimağusa District, six from the İskele District and one from the Güzelyurt District.

81 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus on the other hand reported 284 new positive cases on Monday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
