The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 117 new positive cases of coronavirus following 19,797 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, two people came from abroad and 22 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 93 positive cases were locally transmitted.

32 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 18 from the Girne District, 32 from the Gazimağusa District, six from the Güzelyurt District, three from the İskele District and two from the Lefke District.

While one person died from the virus 41 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported one death and 448 new cases on Sunday.
