The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 133 new positive cases of coronavirus and two death following 13,157 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry 33 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 100 positive cases were locally transmitted.

38 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 32 from the Girne District, 25 from the Gazimağusa District and five from the İskele District.

108 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile South Cyprus reported 275 new cases and one death on Wednesday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
