The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 148 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 6,043 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

131 were locally transmitted cases.

The ministry reports that three people arrived to the TRNC via air and 14 positive cases have been put under surveillance for being in close contact with other positive cases.

46 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 32 from the Girne District, 42 from the Gazimağusa District, six from the Iskele District, two from the Güzelyurt District and three from the Lefke District.

243 people have recovered and have been sent home, reports the ministry.

Meanwhile, 235 positive cases and one death were reported in South Cyprus on Thursday. So far to date 508 people have lost their lives from Coronavirus, South Cyprus reports.
