The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 149 new positive cases of coronavirus following 23,977 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, one person arrived from abroad, 22 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 126 positive cases were locally transmitted.

30 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 48 from the Girne District, 37 from the Gazimağusa District, six from the İskele District and five from the Güzelyurt District.

119 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus on the other hand reported 249 new positive cases and one death on Tuesday.
