The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 158 new positive cases of coronavirus and one death following 13,920 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, three persons arrived from abroad, 14 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 141 positive cases were locally transmitted.

52 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 33 from the Girne District, 42 from the Gazimağusa District, nine from the İskele District, four from the Güzelyurt District and one from the Lefke District.

77 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus on the other hand reported 252 new positive cases on Thursday.
