The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 161 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 12,672 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

The ministry reported that four positive cases arrived in the TRNC via air and 30 were contact cases that were under surveillance for being in close contact with other positive cases.

127 cases were locally transmitted.

46 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 38 from the Girne District, 30 from the Gazimağusa District, eight from the Iskele District, and five from the Güzelyurt District.

114 people have recovered and have been sent home.

Meanwhile, 174 positive cases and three deaths were reported in South Cyprus on Thursday.
