The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 200 new positive cases of coronavirus following 20,697 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 45 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 155 positive cases were locally transmitted.

64 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 37 from the Girne District, 38 from the Gazimağusa District, four from the Güzelyurt District, 11 from the İskele District and one from the Lefke District.

While one person died from the virus 273 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported one death and 393 new cases on Sunday.
