The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 208 new positive cases of coronavirus following 14,469 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, one person arrived from abroad, 40 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 167 positive cases were locally transmitted.

48 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 66 from the Girne District, 34 from the Gazimağusa District, nine from the Güzelyurt District, nine from the İskele District and one from the Lefke District.

400 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 635 new cases and two deaths on Thursday.
