The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 233 new positive cases of coronavirus following 22,775 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 27 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases while 206 positive cases were locally transmitted.

94 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 52 from the Girne District, 45 from the Gazimağusa District, six from the Güzelyurt District, seven from the İskele District and two from the Lefke District.

While one person died from the virus 173 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 3,538 new cases on Sunday.
