The Health Ministry on Monday reported 241 new positive cases of coronavirus following 26,254 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, one person arrived from abroad, 44 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 196 positive cases were locally transmitted.

89 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 49 from the Girne District, 32 from the Gazimağusa District, five from the Güzelyurt District, 17 from the İskele District and four from the Lefke District.

One person died from the virus and 265 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 586 new cases on Monday.
