The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 306 new positive cases of coronavirus following 18,222 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry data one positive case came from abroad and 49 cases were contact case while 256 positive cases were locally transmitted.

107 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 57 from the Girne District, 78 from the Gazimağusa District, one from the Güzelyurt District, 11 from the İskele District and two from the Lefke District.

167 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 346 new cases on Wednesday.
