The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 330 new positive cases of coronavirus following 18,001 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, six people arrived from abroad, 61 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 263 positive cases were locally transmitted.

123 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 60 from the Girne District, 43 from the Gazimağusa District, nine from the Güzelyurt District, 24 from the İskele District and four from the Lefke District.

290 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 437 new cases on Wednesday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
