The Health Ministry on Monday reported 65 new positive cases of coronavirus following 21,615 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry data, 48 positive cases were locally transmitted two were from abroad and 15 were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases.

17 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 10 from the Girne District, 16 from the Gazimağusa District, three from the Iskele District and two from the Güzelyurt District.

33 recoveries have been recorded.

South Cyprus on the other hand reported 166 new positive cases on Monday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
