The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 65 new positive cases of coronavirus following 18,061 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 49 positive cases were locally transmitted, one person came from abroad and 15 were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases.

11 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 12 from the Girne District, 18 from the Gazimağusa District and eight from the Iskele District.

62 recoveries have been recorded.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reports 94 new positive cases and one death on Sunday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
