The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 68 new positive cases of coronavirus following 18,463 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry data, 55 cases were locally transmitted, three of the cases were from overseas and 10 were contacts of persons who previously tested positive for Covid-19.

22 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 11 from the Girne District, 15 from the Gazimağusa District, six from the İskele District and one from the Lefke District.

Data shows that 78 people have recovered and have been sent home.

Meanwhile, 123 positive cases were reported in South Cyprus on Wednesday.
