The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 66 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 20,632 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 60 were locally transmitted cases, one case arrived from overseas and five contact cases that were under quarantine also tested positive.

17 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 17 from the Girne District   18 from the Gazimağusa District, seven from the Iskele District and one from the Güzelyurt District.

70 people have recovered and have been sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reports 146 positive cases and one death in the last 24 hours.

Also the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
