The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 87 new positive cases of coronavirus following 14,614 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 76 positive cases were locally transmitted, three were from abroad and eight were under observation for being in contact with previous Covid-19 cases.

22 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 22 from the Girne District, 21 from the Gazimağusa District, nine from the Iskele District one from the Güzelyurt District, and one from the Lefke District.

38 recoveries have been recorded.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reports 131 new positive cases on Thursday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
