The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 89 new positive cases of coronavirus following 20,563 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

The ministry reported that four positive cases arrived from abroad and 24 were contact cases that were under surveillance for being in close contact with other positive cases.

61 cases were locally transmitted.

25 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 10 from the Girne District, 22 from the Gazimağusa District, one from the Güzelyurt District, two from the İskele District and one from the Lefke District.

93 people have recovered and have been sent home.

117 positive cases were also reported in South Cyprus on Tuesday.
