The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 98 new positive cases of coronavirus following 17,097 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry data, 70 positive cases were locally transmitted three were from abroad and 25 were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases.

26 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 12 from the Girne District, 24 from the Gazimağusa District, five from the Iskele District and three from the Güzelyurt District.

73 recoveries have been recorded.

South Cyprus on the other hand reports 142 new positive cases on Wednesday.
