TRNC Ambassador to Ankara visits Anıtkabir

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ambassador to Ankara Kemal Köprülü and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to Anıtkabir to mark the 38th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

Wreaths were placed and a minutes silence was observed and then the TRNC Ambassador to Ankara Köprülü signed the special book here.

In the special book Köprülü wrote the Turkish Cypriot people were able to gain their state after the years of struggle they waged against inhumane treatment and attacks by the Greek-Greek Cypriot duo.

“Today Turkish Cypriots are able to live in peace and security in an independent state and in sovereignty” wrote Köprülü.

Meanwhile due to the anniversary celebrations the twin towers of the Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchange of Turkey in Ankara were illuminated with both the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus flags.

The image of the TRNC flag was also reflected at Atakule which has become the symbol of Ankara.
