President Ersin Tatar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay.

During the telephone conversation the Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay expressed the hope that the results of the early general elections held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be beneficial to the political parties and the Turkish Cypriot people.

He also expressed the hope that the new government to be established will work for the welfare and stability of the country.

Meanwhile the Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay telephoned the leader of the National Unity Party Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu and congratulated him on his party’s victory during the election.

He also said that the elections in the TRNC were held in a democratic atmosphere and added that cooperation between Turkey and the TRNC will continue to increase in every field.
