Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence has announced that it has provided support to the fire fighting efforts in the Tatlısu-Mersinlik region in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

A written statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence stated that the efforts to extinguish the forest fire in the Tatlısu/Mersinlik region in the TRNC are being supported by dozers and helicopters assigned from the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Command.

“Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) have also been assigned from our Naval Forces Command” the statement added.
