Tweaks to Covid-19 measures

The Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases announced the latest adjustments to measures aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19.

According to the latest decisions, individuals who have come into contact with a positive case but who are unvaccinated or whose vaccine validity has expired will be allowed to resume their normal daily activities by wearing face masks. Such individuals will be required to carry out a rapid test on the 5th and 7th day of coming into contact with the positive case.

Vaccinated teachers who come into contact with a student or students who test positive will continue to teach in classrooms. These teachers will be required to monitor themselves for symptoms and carry out a rapid test on day 5 after coming into contact with the positive case.

Teachers who are unvaccinated or whose vaccine validity has expired will be required to carry out a rapid test on the 3rd, 5th and 7th day of coming into contact with a positive case.

Such individuals are required to carry out a PCR test should they display any symptoms before their test dates.

Children will not be sent to school if an unvaccinated member or members of their family test positive for Covid-19.

The Adapass safepass requirement at supermarkets and outdoor sporting activities has been lifted.
