The National Unity Party (UBP) celebrated the 46th anniversary of its establishment with a reception held at the Elysium Park in the capital Lefkoşa on Monday evening.
Addressing the event, the leader of the National Unity Party, Prime Minister Ersan Saner noted that it was the UBP which brought social, economic and political rights to the TRNC.
“There is great support from Turkey and the UBP’s signature on every infrastructure and superstructure investments in the TRNC” Saner stressed.
Touching upon the issue of the closed city of Maraş, the Premier said that they will continue the opening process of Maraş in line with the European Court of Human Rights decisions and through the Immovable Property Commission.
“We will not allow anyone to violate our rights in the Eastern Mediterranean. We will continue to further develop our relations with motherland Turkey. We will never give up Turkey’s active and effective guarantee. We will continue to claim our culture, values and our nature” Saner said and added that they will continue to maintain jurisdiction, law, democracy and justice.
Also speaking at the event, President Ersin Tatar stressed that the support of the UBP was very important during a time when they express their solution model which will be based on the sovereign equality and cooperation of two co-existing states to the world with the full support of Turkey.
