The National Unity Party (UBP) Democrat Party (DP) Rebirth Party (YDP) coalition government under the leadership of Ünal Üstel received a vote of confidence from the parliament.

Issuing a written statement after the new coalition government was approved by parliament, President Ersin Tatar wrote that he was pleased to see that the new coalition government received approval from the parliament and pointed out that it was very important for the new government to receive a vote of confidence in the context of re-establishing stability in the country’s politics.

Stating that the negative effects of the global economic crisis in the country should not be undermined, Tatar noted that in this environment, focusing on the services expected by the people should be the priority of the new government.

Tatar also stated that above everything else it is necessary to protect social unity, prevent separation by protecting social peace, putting aside personal interests and focusing on the country’s interests.
