UBP-DP-YDP coalition govt. cabinet has been presented to parliament

The National Unity Party (UBP) – Democrat Party (DP) and Rebirth Party (YDP) coalition government that was approved by President Ersin Tatar was presented to the Republic’s Assembly on Monday afternoon.

The election of the Bureau of the Assembly was postponed to the next meeting that will be held on Friday, February 25.

UBP Deputy Zorlu Töre, the third oldest MP in parliament was appointed as the acting Speaker of Parliament in line with the bylaws of the Republic’s Assembly.

He will carry on as the temporary parliamentary speaker until someone has been officially appointed to the position.

The government program will also be read out at the plenary session of parliament that will be held on Friday.

Discussions on the program will begin two full days after the government program has been read out in parliament and a vote of confidence will be held one full day after the talks have been completed.
