The National Unity Party (UBP) will be holding its general congress from October 30-31 in Lefkoşa, the party assembly decided on Thursday.

Four candidates will be contesting for the top position at the congress which will be held at a single location.

The UBP Party Assembly which met for 45 minutes decided with a majority vote to hold the congress in Lefkoşa in spite of an earlier proposal approved by the UBP Central Executive Committee to hold the congress at two locations so as to avoid crowding due to the pandemic.
