The National Unity Party’s (UBP) Girne MP Ünal Üstel on Thursday embarked on his efforts to form a new coalition government.

Within the framework of his efforts, Üstel first visited the Rebirth Party (YDP) where he met with the party leader Erhan Arıklı.

Üstel will be visiting the Democrat Party at 3:30 this afternoon.

Both the main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and the Peoples’ Party have clearly stated they will not meet with the UBP, claiming that the mandate given to the Girne MP by President Ersin Tatar, although legal was not legitimate.
