The Tourism Ministry has launched its winter tourism operation which aims to attract over 15,000 tourists from 16 different countries to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) during the winter months.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu who announced the launch said that efforts to become an all-year-round holiday destination were continuing.

More than 15,000 tourists from 16 different countries will be visiting the TRNC this winter in line with the Northern Travel NTL Winter Operation programme.

Tourists from the UK, Germany, Scandinavia and France as well as other European countries will be spending their winter holiday in the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu said that the tourists will be visiting all sites and places from east to the west.

“We are continuing with efforts to achieve our goal of offering tourism 365 days a year,” he said.
