The High Electoral Council on Tuesday announced the calendar for the upcoming local elections that will take place on December 25.
Accordingly, the election bans will begin on November 16, and the propaganda process will begin on December 5.
Applications for candidates will be accepted on November 28 and the final list of candidates will be announced on December 4.
According to the announcement made by the High Electoral Council, the countdown to the local elections will begin on November 16 with the coming into force of the election prohibitions.
According to the election calendar the last day for political parties to nominate their candidates is November 25.
Applications of nominees will be accepted on November 28.
The provisional announcement of candidates will be made on the November 29.
Also on November 29, district election boards will temporarily announce the candidates to appear in their own districts.
According to the election calendar announced by the High Electoral Council, candidates will be finalized on the December 3.
The final list of candidates will be announced by the council on December 4.

December 4 will also be the last day for political parties to submit petitions to the High Electoral Council in order to carry out propaganda on BRT.
The drawing of names among candidates to determine the order on the ballot paper and speeches to be delivered on BRT will take place on December 5.
While the deadline for the publication of voter lists is December 10, the last day for the distribution of voter cards and pamphlets is December 22.
Election campaigning ends on December 24 and voters will head to the polls on Sunday, December 25.
