Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre flew to the Turkish capital Ankara on Wednesday after receiving an invitation from the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop.
Töre’s visit to Ankara is his first official visit after being elected as the Speaker of Parliament.
Today, Töre and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to Anıtkabir where the Great Turkish leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has been laid to eternal rest.
Töre placed a wreath at Atatürk’s mausoleum followed by a minutes silence in respect of the great leader.
He also signed the special book here.
Following his visit to Anıtkabir the Parliamentary Speaker came together with the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop.
After a tete a tete between the two counterparts, inter-delegation meetings took place.
